Youth in Power: Addressing the Sustainability of Youth-Led Drug Related Organisations
Youth in Power Project Outcome Documents
Our latest Erasmus+ Small Scale partnerships in youth project!
We focus on the central question: why do youth-led drug movements die out?
Alongside our partners at Youth Rise & Young Wave, we have identified three primary pain points:
1. Poor Leadership Transitions
2. Poor Institutional Knowledge
3. Lack of Long-term strategy
The primary goal of this project is to build a framework and train youth-led drug movements on implementing better leadership transitions, establishing better standards for documenting institutional knowledge, and building capacity to monitor and evaluate long term strategy.
We plan to employ a diverse arsenal of methods. Ranging from quantitative desk research to qualitative leadership consultations, the final product will be a set of trainings that build sustainability for youth-led drug movements.
Our project is motivated by the conclusion of youth ad-hoc group from the 66th session of the CND.
"How can we build a common position for youth as a key population?"
In order to build this common position, we need to address key questions regarding the sustainability of our current projects:
What does it mean for youth actors to build legitimacy amongst civil society?
How can we address the lack of compensation for our activists?
When should we flag burnout and what can peer support look like?
