How to be part of Overdose Awareness Day?
Run an Event
The entire campaign is centred around Ending Overdose, so running an event that would contribute to that is one of the best ways to be part of the campaign. The folks over at the Pennington Institute have developed some incredible resources to help you plan and execute an event, including The Event Support Kit, The Social Media Kit, and The Ideas Bank, amongst other resources you can find here.
Once you plan your event, be sure to register it here.
Post a Tribute
One of the goals of the campaign is to allow space for public mourning of those who have died or have been severely injured by overdose. If you would like to commemorate someone, please post a tribute to the official Overdose Awareness Day website.
Spread the World Online
Naturally, raising awareness regarding overdose, how to identify it and what to do, is a key part of the campaign. Follow @OverdoseDay on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and share the campaign resources using the #EndOverdose hashtag. Use The Social Media Kit and The Digital Campaign Guide to support your efforts.
